HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHP) — After a lifelong Harrisburg resident bought a scratch-off lottery ticket at his usual spot, he took the ticket home to review the numbers—and that’s when he realized he’d hit it big.
“When I scratched the ticket, I could not comprehend the numbers,” said Chris Moppin, 59, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery. “When I got home and looked again, I saw that it was the $1 million winner. I kept scanning it over and over again because I could not believe it. It was overwhelming and such a nice surprise.”
Pennsylvania Lottery officials presented Moppin with a commemorative check Wednesday at the same store he bought the Merry Money Match ticket—the same store he buys all his lottery tickets, Cue-Nique at 505 Strawberry Square…
