PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) – Pensacola police brought in an extraordinary search tool Tuesday as they intensified their search for a missing woman, a specially trained otter named Splash.
Officers said Splash was on scene and ready to deploy but never had to enter the water. The woman was located safe in a different area on Monday, police said.
Investigators said the woman had not been seen since Friday, and someone reported a body may be in the water near the Mahogany Mill boat ramp.
