San Diego man sentenced for methamphetamine distribution and money laundering

TAMPA, Florida — Omar Pitter, a 45-year-old from San Diego, has been sentenced to 33 years and 4 months in federal prison for shipping over 65 kilograms of methamphetamine to Florida and conspiring to launder the proceeds.

Pitter was found guilty by a federal jury after a four-day trial in September 2025, announced U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe. The investigation, which began in February 2024, was initiated by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) targeting Colin Zirpoli for suspected methamphetamine distribution. This led to the identification of a supply chain involving Elizabeth Poff, Tony Marsh, and Hopeton Goslin, all of whom have pleaded guilty and been sentenced.

Further investigation revealed Pitter as Goslin’s source, with evidence showing he had been shipping cocaine and methamphetamine since 2023. DEA agents arrested Pitter in California and discovered his involvement with Ciara Guss, who brokered deals and was also sentenced to 18 years in prison…
