VALRICO, Florida — A 51-year-old Valrico man has been arrested for allegedly throwing nails onto local roadways, causing damage to multiple vehicles.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office began investigating on September 11, 2025, after receiving a report of hundreds of nails scattered on South Miller Road and Lithia Center Lane. Over the following five months, 27 additional incidents were reported in the same area, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies identified the driver of a white pickup truck as the suspect responsible for throwing nails at the intersection of Bucknell Road and Miller Road. On January 13, 2026, at 10:37 a.m., deputies observed Felix Uresti, 51, of Valrico, Florida, exiting his white 2022 Toyota Tundra and placing nails onto the roadway along Miller Road.
