Syracuse promotes from within to fill new post overseeing city’s technology

Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse Mayor Sharon Owens has created and filled a new position overseeing technology and digital services in city government.

Vincent Scipione will be the city’s first chief information officer, a post responsible for advising and advocating on the city’s technology needs and policy.
