Weeks after abruptly closing all its stores, Acton-based Circle Furniture has officially filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Circle Furniture said it could no longer afford to stay in business and would lay off all employees at once, according to an email sent to employees just two days before Christmas 2025.
“With a heavy heart, circumstance [sic] have gone against the business and we can no longer afford to continue operations, therefore all employees are being let go…effective Dec. 23,” the layoff email, which was obtained by The Boston Globe, reads…
