Union Pacific contractor shot in northeast Houston, police say

A contractor for Union Pacific was injured Wednesday afternoon following a shooting in the city’s northeast side, the Houston Police Department confirmed.

Police said officers were dispatched to the scene at about 2:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Gregg Street. HPD said the victim was shot after a suspect robbed two people who were doing rail work.
