WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A body has been recovered after they were removed from the ice on Tuesday from the Potomac River, officials said.

The DC Fire and EMS Department posted on X that they were responding to a water rescue on the Potomac River near 14th Street Bridge. The water rescue soon became a recovery, and firefighters planned to cross the ice from Ohio Drive in order to reach the victim.
