Valentine’s Day is less than two weeks away, and many are looking for ways to treat their sweethearts. Caffeine boosts themed in the holiday’s red, pink and white — with flavors like strawberry, chocolate and red velvet — are a good place to start the day. Several coffee chains and local Reno coffee shops are offering Valentine’s Day specials to mark the holiday.
From Starbucks and Dutch Bros to Rising for the People Coffee Co. and EP Coffee Lounge, there will be multiple places to find a Valentine’s coffee around town on Feb. 14.
Here’s a closer look at which coffee shops in Reno are offering Valentine’s Day drinks.
Does Starbucks do anything for Valentine’s Day?
Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 3, Starbucks’ Valentine’s Day specials are available while supplies last. The Valentine’s Day specials include:
- White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Brew: Cold brew with vanilla flavored syrup and topped with White Chocolate Strawberry Cream Cold Foam and chocolate curls. Starbucks says this drink is a take on the classic chocolate-covered strawberries.
- Strawberry Shortcake Frappuccino: Crème Frappuccino with strawberry puree and cinnamon dolce syrup, topped with whipped cream and a caramel-sugar sprinkle.
- Valentine Cake Pop: Vanilla cake mixed with buttercream and dipped in red-chocolatey icing.
The coffee chain also added some new matcha flavors to its year-round menu. The flavors include:
- Iced Double Berry Matcha: A twist on the classic iced matcha latte featuring strawberry puree, matcha and silky raspberry cream cold foam over ice.
- Iced Banana Bread Matcha: Matcha with brown sugar syrup and milk over ice, topped with banana cream cold foam and a caramel crunch topping.
