FBI, NCMEC seeks help identifying boy whose remains were found in Waianae in 2000

HONOLULU (Island News) — FBI Honolulu is asking the public’s help in identifying a boy whose remains were found in Waianae nearly 26 years ago.

FBI Honolulu shared information and an image representation of a 7 to 10 year-old boy provided by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC). His remains were found in the sand dunes in Waianae in July 2000.

The facial approximation of the child was made to represent what he may have looked like in life. Although there is limited information available on him, efforts to identify him are ongoing…
