HONOLULU (KHON2) — After a day of strong winds and no power, most electricity has been restored, Hawaiian Electric said.
On Feb. 2, the National Weather Service had issued a Wind Advisory for the islands, and the strong weather coincided with thousands of homes without power on Hawaiian Electric’s serviced islands.

As of 8 a.m. on Feb. 3, Hawaiian Electric reported that all power had been restored with the exception of 300 customers on Oʻahu, 2,000 customers on Maui and several pocket outages on Hawaiʻi Island.
During the extended power outage, approximately 27,000 customers were without power on Oʻahu alone.
