‘Bittersweet news’: Lehigh Valley market, offering local meats, produce and more, bids farewell

WIND GAP, Pa. – A destination for locally sourced meats, produce, eggs, dairy products and other food items has ended operations in Northampton County.

Stryker Market, carrying premium meats from Stryker Farm on Mountain Road in Saylorsburg along with other foods, household items and personal care products from other local farms and businesses, has permanently closed at 67 Park Ave. in Wind Gap, according to an announcement posted Sunday on the business’ Facebook page.

The market opened in April 2024 in a renovated space that previously housed Wind Gap Vac N Sew, a business offering vacuum and sewing machine sales, service and accessories.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share some bittersweet news: Stryker Market in Wind Gap will be permanently closing, effective at the close of business today,” Sunday’s announcement reads…
