Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools vote to change school calendar after winter storms moved through

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – School board leaders with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools on Wednesday night voted unanimously during an emergency meeting to make changes to the school calendar to make up for days missed due to winter storms.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Superintendent Dr. Crystal Hill, on Wednesday, Feb. 4, during the meeting, recommended that they change the two days of early release to full days.

It was unanimously voted to change Wednesday, Feb. 11, and Wednesday, April 29, from early-release days to full days to make up for missed days over the last couple of weeks due to winter storms…
