FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Construction is underway on a new soccer stadium for Fort Wayne Football Club near Bass Road and Interstate 69, a project city leaders say will bring economic growth to the area. But for nearby residents, the development is also bringing uncertainty about traffic, noise, and the future of a once-quiet neighborhood.
The stadium is located off a roundabout along Bass Road, is expected to serve not only as the home field for Fort Wayne FC but also as a multipurpose entertainment venue capable of hosting concerts and other large events. With that growth comes increasing interest from developers and commercial real estate firms.
