(WPDE) — After South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson requested Seventh Judicial Circuit Solicitor Barry J. Barnette to review the shooting case involving North Myrtle Beach businessman Weldon Boyd and Scott Spivey in October, Barnette announced Wednesday that he impaneled a State Grand Jury.
The case before Barnette is the second case related to the incident. It is focused on the practices and protocols demonstrated by the Horry County Police Department (HCPD) during its initial investigation of the shooting.
