LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH/WPRI) — Police arrested a Cumberland man on Thursday who they allege was involved in a string of burglaries spanning Connecticut and Rhode Island communities.
According to the Ledyard, Connecticut, Police Department, Ledyard Town Spirits reported suspicious activity on their CCTV cameras on Jan. 27, 2025, at around 3:43 a.m. Police found that glass had been removed from one of the front doors and placed to the side of the building, fully intact.
Officers found a cash register on the ground with papers scattered. They reported that the owner of the business said the alarm was never triggered, but that the suspect stole approximately $4,900 worth of cigarettes and $500 in cash…
