A body found in water along a highly-trafficked portion of Route 31 in the northwest suburbs this week has been identified, authorities said Wednesday.
According to the Kane County Coroner’s office, the body, which was found in Jelkes Creek in West Dundee, was that of a man who had been reported missing by his family last month. He was identified as 52-year-old Joseph Johnson Jr., of Elgin.
