HOUSTON, Texas – Charges have been filed against a Houston man accused of threatening a store employee with a handgun during a theft incident and later found in possession of a firearm and drugs at the time of his arrest, police said.
The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, at a general store in the 4700 block of Almeda Genoa Road. According to investigators with the Houston Police Department, two unidentified men entered the store and were seen concealing merchandise. When an employee confronted them and locked the front doors, one suspect allegedly pulled out a handgun and threatened to harm her if she did not unlock the doors. The suspects then fled the scene in a blue sedan.
A Houston police robbery detective conducted a follow-up investigation and identified Jovon Timmon, 25, as a possible suspect. The victim later identified Timmon, and a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was filed the same day. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest…
