WASHINGTON, USA — Scammers are targeting families in Clark County with phone calls falsely claiming a loved one is in jail and needs bail money, Vancouver police warned Wednesday.
The callers often use information from the Clark County Jail roster and may pose as law enforcement officers or bail bond service representatives to pressure families into sending money, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
