BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – A joint investigation between the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office and the Asheville Police Department ended in several statutory rape charges for a man.
Deputies reported that on Nov. 19, 2025, 29-year-old Juan Ramon Juarez-Talamantes was charged with and arrested for two counts of statutory rape involving a child at least 13, 14 or 15 years of age. On Jan. 22, 2026, he was charged with an additional count involving a third victim.
In July of 2024, Buncombe County detectives received a report of a sexual assault involving a child. In September of 2025, the Asheville Police Department also received a report of a sexual assault involving a child…
