Thief used stolen credit card to purchase pricey laptop from Costco: Bakersfield PD

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for help to identify a woman suspected of using a stolen credit card to buy a MacBook laptop at a Costco.

According to BPD, the theft happened on Oct. 9 at the Trader Joes on Coffee Road near Stockdale Highway. A victim told police her credit card and phone were stolen from her purse.

A short time later, the stolen card was used to purchase a MacBook Pro from the Costco on Rosedale Highway. The suspect was seen on surveillance video, police said. Images of the suspect and the suspect’s vehicle were released Thursday.

The suspect is described as a woman wearing a white hat, light blue torn jeans, a maroon and white sweater that says “KORS,” black and white shoes with a Karl Lagerfeld tote bag.

She is believed to be in a white 2004-2007 Nissan Armada…
