Cory J. Havens, 32, of Vauxhall, NJ, on Tuesday, Feb. 3, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
The charge stems from an administrative investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Confidential Investigations Unit after the Palisades Park Police Department referred the matter to prosecutors, Musella said.
During the investigation, Havens, who is employed as a Palisades Park police officer, gave false statements to detectives from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office while under oath, Musella said, without elaborating on what they were.
