TROY, Ohio (WDTN) – Over 20 people filed through the Miami County jail tonight to see what the current conditions are like, as officials hoped it would show why they want to build a new one.
After the conclusion of the tour, voters described the jail with words such as ugly, sad, crowded, depressing, and yikes. Voters walked through narrow halls single-file and cramped into holding cells to get a feel for the current-day downtown Miami County Jail.
Built in 1972, officials said it’s been out of date for years…
