FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Fresno County’s Central Library could be closed for as long as two years, officials announced Thursday, with a closure date set for later this month.
Officials say the Central Library, located at 2420 Mariposa Street, which opened in 1959, will need to close for between 18 and 24 months starting Sunday, February 15.
“These upgrades are about ensuring that this facility can continue to support public services for many years to come,” Director of the Fresno County Public Library Sally Gomez said. “Investing in our infrastructure reflects our responsibility to maintain public spaces that are functional, sustainable, and responsive to the evolving needs of our community.”…
