The building, which housed the former Cafe and Then Some, could soon be transformed into a 17-room boutique hotel, according to plans revealed during a gathering of Greenville real estate and development professionals on Feb. 4.
The proposal was discussed briefly by Jason Boehm, founder and CEO of Greenville-based Aileron Management, during a panel discussion about the city’s hotel market as part of Greenville City Economic Development Corporation’s real estate breakfast at the Prisma Health Welcome Center at Unity Park.
Boehm said “The Banter” would pay homage to the building’s theatrical history and feature 17 guest rooms, a restaurant, rooftop bar and a basement private club designed in the manner of a speakeasy lounge…
