KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — An Italian restaurant in the Portage area known for its grinders has new owners.
Angelo’s Italian Eatery held a reopening event Saturday to celebrate as Missie and Bryan Adams take over the restaurant that has served up grinders and pizza at 5401 Portage Rd. near I-94 in Kalamazoo for almost two decades.
The former owners are retiring, Missie Adams told News 8, and her and her husband had always wanted to own a restaurant.

“We were customers and the girls — we have three daughters — all three of them, we would bring them here because we live right in the neighborhood,” she told News 8. “We would bring them here for dinner and we always used to tease them and say, ‘We’re going to buy a restaurant one day.
