Fugitive Unit clears seven warrants, including several for attempted murder, MPD says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Fugitive Unit cleared seven felony warrants on Tuesday, including several for attempted murder charges, the Memphis Police Department said Thursday.

Among the unit’s arrests were Curtis Johnson and Damien Johnson, both of whom were arrested on warrants for attempted first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon stemming from a shooting in July 2025, the department said.

They also arrested a 17-year-old boy for two counts of attempted second-degree murder and employment of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony from a shooting on Ashford Road on January 28, MPD said…
