Lake County Schools issued a statement about a walkout protest involving more than 20 Leesburg High School students on Feb. 4.
The small group was among thousands of middle and high school students across the U.S. taking to the streets to protest the actions of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) after federal agents shot and killed Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minneapolis last month.
