89-year-old Villager arrested at Lake Sumter Landing

An 89-year-old Villager with a criminal history was arrested at Lake Sumter Landing.

Morris Wolff of the Village of Mallory Square was at the wheel of a silver Scion SUV at about 9 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Lake Sumter Landing and Lakeshore Drive when he failed to come to a complete stop at a flashing red traffic light, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. During a traffic stop, a deputy found that Wolff’s license has been suspended five times for failure to pay court financial obligations.

Wolff has a long list of arrests in The Villages, including a charge that he misrepresented himself during a meeting at the Millhorn Law Firm in The Villages. In 2017, the Senior Games medalist was arrested during a tennis match at the Tierra Del Sol tennis courts. He has also been arrested at the Palmer Legends Championship Golf Course and was subsequently banned from the golf course.
