Unlicensed driver speeds past officer patrolling in The Villages

A Wildwood man was arrested for driving without a license after being stopped for speeding in the Village of Fenney.

A blue Ford F-250 with a broken tag light sped past an officer on Warm Springs Avenue around 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. Radar confirmed the driver, 40-year-old Patrick Michael Feeney, was going 48 miles per hour in a 35-mph zone.

Due to this, the officer stopped him near the entrance to the Village of Fenney. He handed over his registration and ID, which were used to check the status of his driver’s license. His history showed he did not have a license at all, the report said…
