In a world as big as Earth, many countries are less recognized, and in a school as large as Athens, many students go unnoticed as well. Among these students is Adel Baizhanova, an exchange student from Kazakhstan.
“It’s a country that nobody knows here in the U.S.A., so when I just came here, it was like I was joining another world,” said Baizhanova.
Baizhanova transferred to Athens Drive last August as a junior and was nominated as an exceptional student by Dylan McGee, a creative writing teacher; “She’s an exchange student, and I think that, that can be interesting, talking to exchange students in general… She’s also from Kazakhstan, which borders Russia.”…
