New psychiatric health facility celebrates one month of operation in North County

OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — A new inpatient psychiatric health facility in Oceanside has completed its first month of operation, according to a news release from San Diego County on Thursday.

The $27.6 million facility, which is located on the Tri-City Medical Center campus, is the first of its kind to be funded by the county. It was developed through a collaboration between the county and Tri-City Healthcare District, which operates the medical center.

The facility serves clients who need higher-level psychiatric care than what is typically provided in an outpatient setting, the county stated.
