El Paso water bill spike too high
As we all know, El Paso water rates are set to rise March 1. The public service board of El Paso approved a 12.2% rate hike. I think the water bill shouldn’t have spiked so much, since the cost of living has risen as well. Many residents of El Paso already struggle to pay bills and still afford health care and food.
“With many of the residents facing financial strain right now, I cannot support a double-digit rate increase,” said Mayor Renard Johnson.
This decision was based on the public service board of El Paso not being aware that the pipes were too old to remain in place, and the citizens of El Paso had to pay the price…
