JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A 19-year-old pled guilty in the shooting death of a 15-year-old in Jackson.
Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens said Nikkifar Allen pled guilty to second-degree murder.
Woman charged with making terroristic threat to Hillcrest Christian School
On March 15, 2023, police said Caden Chapman was walking a dog near a playground on Agape Drive when he was ambushed by three individuals, who were wielding military-style firearms. Owens said surveillance video showed the individuals loitering near the playground before all three opened fire.
Chapman, who was unarmed, was struck multiple times, including a fatal gunshot wound to the right side of his forehead. He died at the scene.
After the shooting, Owens said the suspects were seen on video running away from the scene, carrying firearms. Multiple weapons were recovered on the ground at the crime scene…
