LOGANSPORT, La. (KSLA) – Louisiana’s largest-ever unclaimed property check was just issued to a man from Shreveport.
On Feb. 3, State Treasurer John Fleming spoke to members of the Logansport Chamber of Commerce about, among other things, the functions of the treasury department and recent accomplishments of the office, including the return of unclaimed money to Louisiana residents.
During this meeting, Fleming personally delivered the state’s largest-ever unclaimed property check to Shreveport native, James Willett. The check was in the amount of $320,706.21. Another check for $79,982.26 was issued for a trust on behalf of Willett’s son…
