LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Arkansas’ Parole Board and Department of Corrections is facing a class action civil rights lawsuit brought by high-power law firms including the ACLU and MacArthur Justice Center on behalf of incarcerated Arkansans who say they have been denied due process in parole revocation proceedings.
Every year, thousands of Arkansans are accused of violating parole, many on technicalities, and end up reincarcerated due to what plaintiffs in this lawsuit call a deeply unfair parole revocation process.
