Update on Minnehaha County’s pending homicide cases

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — There are nearly two dozen people charged in homicide cases in Minnehaha County, with some of the cases dating back nearly two years.

In September of 2024, court documents say then-30-year-old Dylan Farmer went to police and said he had shot a man in the face.

Absentee vote bill could lead to quicker results

Because no body had been found yet, police let Farmer go. Later that day, a woman called 911, asking officers to remove a man from her house.
