Suspect hospitalized after west Phoenix police shooting; no officers hurt

PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The Phoenix Police Department has confirmed that a suspect is in the hospital after a shooting involving officers in a Maryvale neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

Details are limited but officers swarmed a neighborhood in the area of 71st Avenue and Thomas Road just before 4 p.m.

About half an hour later, police said the suspect was in the hospital and no officers were hurt.
