BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Riddhi Patel, accused of threatening Bakersfield City Council members during a meeting in 2024, has been granted mental health diversion.
Judge John R. Brownlee granted Patel entry to a diversion program — she’ll receive treatment and must follow all terms of the program, plus stay out of trouble — following a hearing Thursday morning, according to Superior Court staff.
