MONTGOMERY VILLAGE, Md. — A driver was hurt when the car they were driving crashed into a restaurant in a shopping center in Montgomery Village Thursday morning.
Pete Piringer, a spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services, shared images of the crash scene on social media. Piringer said the crash happened just after 9:30 a.m. in the 19200 Montgomery Village Avenue, near Centerway Road. In the photos, a white Hyundai SUV is seen inside the front of Kobe Japan, a hibachi and sushi restaurant in the Montgomery Village Center strip mall.
The driver was evaluated by medical personnel on scene for non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported. Kobe Japan was closed at the time of the crash…
