Police chase ends in Charlotte neighborhood after armed carjacking

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – An early-morning police chase that stemmed from an armed carjacking ended in a neighborhood off a busy Charlotte highway on Friday, a source said.

The Feb. 6 chase ended around 4 a.m. near the intersection of Morris Field Drive and Denver Avenue, right off Wilkinson Boulevard.

More than a dozen Charlotte-Mecklenburg police vehicles were called to the neighborhood once the chase was over. A police dog was spotted as officers appeared focused on a house at the end of the dead-end street…
