Mayfield Heights officials take action after deadly shooting at Raising Cane’s

MAYFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio (WJW) – Mayfield Heights is taking action after a troubling rise in youth violence, particularly incidents involving guns.

City leaders and police met with residents to talk through new safety measures following a deadly shooting at the Raising Cane’s restaurant in December that claimed the life of a 16-year-old boy.

In response, the restaurant has decided to permanently close its dining room at 8 p.m.
