NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Bahama Breeze on Rivers Avenue is one of 14 restaurants that could soon be converted into another concept.
Darden Restaurants announced plans this month to wind down the Caribbean-themed chain with more than a dozen locations slated to be closed and 14 expected to be revamped into other brands in the company’s portfolio.
The decision comes after Darden completed a review of “strategic alternatives” for Bahama Breeze and will shutter half of the chain’s 28 restaurants. The closures are expected to take effect by April 5, and those listed for conversion could see movement over the next 12-18 months…
