Ret. Colonel chronicles battle with addiction and rise in ranks

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Retired U.S. Army Col. Willette Alston-Hockaday, a decorated veteran who once served her country and now serves students in the classroom, is sharing her story of addiction, recovery and redemption. She says she hopes her truth will save and change lives.
