Student group advises Vicksburg administration

Vicksburg Community Schools Superintendent Keevin O’Neill recently highlighted a student program whose members peek inside the world of district administration and share their thoughts.

O’Neill elaborated on the roots behind the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Board. Comprised of students at the high school level, the board provides a bridge between leadership of the district and those it serves, he said.

“I value hearing directly from our students about their experiences at Vicksburg Community Schools, so three years ago, I helped launch SSAB to ensure student voice and input are included in district conversations,” O’Neill said. “The SSAB provides a structured avenue for students to share their perspectives on topics that impact their education and the school community.”…
