MEMPHIS, Tenn. – There will be no garbage pickup Thursday in the City of Memphis.
In a statement, the city’s Solid Waste Division said it made the call due to crews still finding icy and dangerous streets. The office noted improvements “in some areas” but said ice remained along curbs, in alleys and other areas where crews have to stop for collection.
