Outraged sparked over dog’s stabbing in Jessamine County

JESSAMINE COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — On Jan. 31, officials with Jessamine County Animal Care & Control launched an investigation after a dog was found stabbed in the Tates Creek Estates neighborhood.

The dog, later identified as a Scooby, had to be euthanized due to his injuries. Investigators have since ruled the incident as self-defense.

However, community members tell FOX 56 News that Scooby was anything but aggressive.

“I’ve let him in my house before on cold nights or, like, bad weather days. And he’s been with all of my animals. I mean, I have three dogs and two cats, and he’s been perfectly fine with all of them,” said Autumn Howard…
