Man arrested after woman’s body found told deputies he snapped grandmother’s neck in IRC

VERO BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A man who was arrested after his grandmother was found dead allegedly told deputies he killed the elderly woman by snapping her neck and repeatedly punching and stomping on her head after she poked him in the back with a steak knife.

The arrest report from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office says that, following the alleged murder, the suspect, Nicholas Ivey, took his grandmother’s credit cards and car and drove to a store, where he bought beer and cigarettes.

After his trip to the store, he called his father and confessed to killing his grandmother, Patricia Dibella, according to the arrest report…
