TAMPA, Fla. — Starting Sunday, Tampa Bay-area counties are set to enforce one-day-per-week lawn watering restrictions following a “severe” water shortage declaration.
The Southwest Florida Water Management District Governing Board (SWFWMD) made the announcement as part of a modified phase II water shortage, due to dry conditions across the region.
Beginning Feb. 8 through July 1, residents — including those on private wells — must follow one-day-per-week lawn watering restrictions.
