Minto Communities USA recently announced the sale of a 10.64-acre parcel within its flagship Westlake community to Lowe’s Home Centers LLC for the development of a new retail location, marking another major milestone in the community’s accelerating commercial growth. The transaction closed on Jan. 29.
The proposed Lowe’s store will be in Town Center West, at the intersection of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road and Town Center Parkway North. The development will span approximately 134,148 square feet, including a 107,547-square-foot indoor big-box store and a 26,601-square-foot outdoor garden center. In addition to serving local customers, the location will also function as a regional headquarters for the North Carolina-based retailer. Building plans were approved by the City of Westlake last year.
